Artist's Comments
I started this sketch at work on Wednesday and then decided to use it as my submission to TF.N's March Fanart Challenge. It looked sort of lame until I shaded and blended it. I looked at a screencap from Empire for reference. One of my favourite shots, after the duel, just before Luke jumps. I only used it as a reference, though for positioning and highlights. Having his cape off the side, exposing his shoulder armour was artistic liberty. I love drawing Vader. He's all technical and spiffy. 
I love Vader. So my favourite Sith. Say what you will about Hayden Christensen's portrayal of Anakin, but I like it and I can't wait for Revenge and his fall. 
This was drawn in my new 5.5x8.5 sketchbook (that I bought specifically for bringing to work to doodle in), with my new .5 mechanical pencil and shaded with my fingers. XD
