I started sketching this on Saturday, during our FanForce meeting whilst watching Return of the Jedi (we held an Original Trilogy marathon). I just finished the lineart Sunday night, scanned it and coloured it in Photoshop 7. I'm on some sort of art kick right now. Crazy, isn't it? It's good cause I have oft times neglected my DA page when I've been in a slump. Anywho, I love how the highlights came out on Luke's hair and also how the lightsaber turned out (I'm getting quite skilled at that effect). :XD: Although, his head is a bit on the large side, I think it works and I am too lazy to mess with it. Anywho, I love Luke and I love the Skywalkers in general.

Another piece from my new 5.5x8.5, sketched with my .5 mechanical pencil. :b

I love how thos picture turned out!! I love how you coloured pencil lines!! I love the Hair and sabere most though.. but i really love this picture!! tis awsome... and i love the game jedi acadamy... :D
I colour stuff in Adobe Photoshop 7 and I use different layers set on multiply to do the basic colours. For example, I'll create a new layer, and then name it for what I'm going to colour. I'll do something like 'hair' and then pick a colour, cover the whole area I want to be that colour, set it on multiply and then erase the parts I dont want that colour. To do the highlights, I'm lazy and I use the dodge tool most times. I hope that wasn't too confusing. I've read many tutorials over the years on photoshop colouring techniques. :)

Thanks! When I don't feel like inking, I just scan the pic and colour over it. For more detail on that, see my reply to the first comment. :D Unfortunately, I haven't played Jedi Academy cause I don't own an Xbox and my computer is ghetto. I wanted to play it though!

:o .... photoshop eh? .... I have one, never used it. I'm more of a traditional artist - but the photoshop does make it look neater

actually what i ment is that its real awsome, because i can see some sketch lines near his hand's and stuff.. well i think it just gives an awsome affect... i colour my pencil drawings cuz im lazy, but your drawings look better - by a long shot.
For you're sake i hope one day you play jedi acadamy, its really worth playing :D
